This crucial event for  fuel sector in Poland and Central-Eastern Europe was held traditionally in EXPO XXI in Warsaw at 12 Prądzyńskiego St. The event gathered  together representatives of both, the broad circles of fuel and energy industry and retail trade. Among attendees were politicians, representatives of many institutions, individual experts, businessman and numbers of fuel’s consumers as well. Last but not least, among attendees were individuals interested in the condition of Polish state and global economy.

 

The symbolic cutting of the ribbon, and thus opening of the XXIII International Fair PETROL STATION 2016 was performed by Mrs Halina Pupacz, President of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels; Mr Thibaud De Lisle, CEO of Total Poland; Mr Pawel Lisowski, CEO of LOTOS Fuels; and members of the Presidium of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels: Mr Marek Ciesla and Mr Wieslaw Dec.

 

For 25 years the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels has been taking care of the development of the Polish fuel sector. Dynamic market changes, new offers and dedicated solutions, forces on the petrol stations’ owners constant replenishment of knowledge. For that purpose, serves the International Trade Fair PETROL STATION which are statutorily organized by the Chamber for 23 years now, – said Mrs Halina Pupacz.

 

Besides of a wide range of exhibits with numerous novelties, attendees could take part in the discussion panels – the Entrepreneur’s Academy and the Forum. During the Entrepreneur’s Academy one could get a lot of interesting information devoted to aspects of legal, financial, cashless transactions, business cooperation models and novelties in car wash sector. Traditionally, the main event was the annual Forum “The Polish Market of Liquid Fuels 2016. Selected Issues”, bringing together both practitioners of fuel and energy industry, as well as VIPs, representatives of the government and independent analytics and think tanks.

 

This year, among participants of the Forum were including others.: Mr Mieczyslaw Borowski, President of the UDT; Mr Andrzej Magryś, former head of the Statoil Poland- now AMS Consulting and Management; PhD. Maciej Mitera from the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Justice; Mrs Halina Pupacz, President of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels; Associate Professor Konrad Raczkowski, former Deputy Minister of Finance, currently Director of the Institute of Economics Academy of Social Sciences; Mr Krzysztof Rutkowski, KDCP Advisory Office of Customs and Taxes Rutkowski&Witalis; Mr Krzysztof Starzec, Head of Fuels Department Circle K Poland (formerly Statoil Fuel & Retail); Mr Maciej Szozda, Vice President and Director of Production and Trade of LOTOS Group; Mr Adam Toczyski, Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels; Mr Leszek Wieciech, President and CEO of the Polish Organization of Oil Industry and Trade. Furthermore,the discussion was  attentively listened by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, PhD. Wieslaw Jasinski (Deputy Minister of State, General Inspector of Tax Inspection, the General Inspector of Financial Information, Government Plenipotentiary for Combating fraud against the Republic of Polish or European Union). 

 

In the competition PRODUCT OF THE YEAR of the XXIII International Fair PETROL STATION 2016, the award “Złota Lampa” of President of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels and the first prize in the category “Technical equipment and systems related to the operations of filling stations” was awarded to CORRIMEX Sp.j. for the “intelligent monitoring and management of tanks”. The Audience Award (online voting) went to: EKONSTAL Sp. o.o. Sp.K. for “horizontal, underground LPG tank with a capacity of 100 000 liters”; Award of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels came to: EURO-EKOL Mariusz Ancerowicz for “Multi-functional touchless car wash operating machine”. The monthly awards “Liquid Fuels” were handed out to: Petroster Sp.j. for “PETROSANI – Automatic Monitoring System for Installation of Liquid Products” and ORLEN Service Centre / Adast Systems a.s. for ” AdBlue Dispenser Adast Major for cars”. In the category “Logistics and distribution “award was endowed to:  ALMA Poland for “CMA Tronique – Electronic measuring system with a turbine designed to measure fuel unloading”. In the category “Devices and associated services” and the Grand Prix of TDT the winner is: VAK-POL & Gas Sp. o.o. for the “Crane for handling various types of liquid fuels on rail tankers, car and IBC”.

 

On the occasion of 25th anniversary, the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels has established a statuette ZŁOTY OKTAN to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves with their work and undertaken initiatives and who have contributed to the development of liquid fuel market in Poland. The Chamber decided to endow with the first in its history statuettes, reporters. This year, the statuettes ZŁOTY OKTAN were handed out to: Tomasz Sakiewicz, the editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Polska”; Przemysław Talkowski (TV Polsat, the program “State in the State”) and Marcin Gawęda (biznes.onet.pl).
