The 27th edition of the International Fair PETROL STATION 2022 is behind us.

 

After two years of pandemic restrictions, and now also in the face of the conflict in Ukraine, the possibility of direct contact and talks has become particularly important. The dimension of direct relations, handshake, direct conversation “here and now” is of paramount and priceless importance. This aspect was appreciated by both exhibitors and visitors to our exhibition. Thank you very much!

 

The PETROL STATON fair, which took place on May 11-13 this year at EXPO XXI WARSAW,  is extremely important for the entire fuel industry. This year’s edition, like the previous ones, showed the current picture of the fuel industry and related industries, the latest trends and companies’ competition. The exhibitors presented new offers, products and services, modern technologies and solutions improving management. It was undoubtedly also a time to broaden horizons and gain knowledge about innovations in the fuel industry.

The ceremonial opening of the XXVII PETROL STATION 2022 Fair was performed by: Halina Pupacz – president of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels; Minister Andrzej Dera – Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland; Minister Adam Abramowicz – Spokesman for Small and Medium Enterprises; Michał Kuczmierowski – President of the Governmental Agency for Strategic Reserves; Adam Rogacki – Member of the Management Board for Investments (Orlen Paliwa) and Professor Konrad Raczkowski. The ceremony was also attended by members of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels, invited guests and exhibitors.

 

The exhibition part was accompanied by numerous meetings, trainings, presentations and conferences.

 

The exhibition was accompanied by the Discussion Forum “Polish liquid fuel market. Selected issues ”, whose partner was ELAVON. The conference took the form of a debate and was devoted to the current situation of the fuel sector in Poland and its most important problems and issues. The meeting was two-part. The first panel “Challenges for the fuel industry in 2022” discussed the current situation of the fuel market, oil prices and fuel prices, changes in the legislative area in the fuel industry, the effects of sealing the fuel market, and the activities of the Spokesman for Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs. The second panel was devoted to new technologies, new perspectives for transport fuels, i.e. electromobility, hydrogen technology, the future of the automotive market and the Challenges of Łukasiewicz – the Fuel and Bioeconomy Research Group.

 

During the conference, Minister Andrzej Dera presented the “Cross of Merit” distinctions awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland to people of merit for the Polish fuel market. By the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland, the following persons were honored:

  • The Golden Cross of Merit – Wiesław Marcin Deć,
  • With the Silver Cross of Merit – Jacenty Siewierski,
  • The Bronze Cross of Merit – Jan Madejek, Józef Tadeusz Szwiec, Leszek Maciej Wieciech.

The GOLDEN OCTAN statuettes were also presented – the most important distinction of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels – awarded to honor people and companies distinguished by their activity, creativity, entrepreneurial initiatives, in particular contributing to the development of the liquid fuel market in Poland, expanding and promoting knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and the fuel and energy market, development of innovation through legislative, administrative, scientific and economic activities. The winners of the GOLDEN OCTAN Statuette in 2022 were:

  • Marek Matuszewski, Member of the Polish Parliament,
  • Jerzy Małyska,
  • The energy regulatory office,
  • Technical inspection authority,
  • Slovnaft Polska S.A.,
  • Orlen Paliwa Sp. z o.o.,
  • LOTOS Paliwa Sp. z o.o.,
  • Łukasiewicz Research Network – Automotive Industry Institute.

On the second day of the fair, members of the PKN Orlen franchise station section operating at PIPP met. During the meeting, among others, about current problems, important issues related to the conducted activity, as well as cooperation with the concern.

 

The exhibition was also accompanied by a series of trainings / presentations as part of the Entrepreneur’s Academy. Lectures were conducted by practitioners who shared their knowledge and experience with the audience. The topics discussed this year include:

  • “Distributor by volume or weight – a new approach to distribution and balancing of liquid gases.” – Mestrole Polska Sp. z o.o. and Emerson Automation Solutions.
  • “AdBlue storage and sale at petrol stations in an ecological, legal and economic context.” – SWIMER Łukasz Otremba.
  • “Legal regulations concerning the fuel market”, attorney Adam Toczyski.
  • “New SENT challenges for the fuel industry” – Krzysztof Rutkowski, KDCP Law Firm.
  • “Hydrogen refueling station” – Office of Technical Inspection.
  • “Development of the BAQ Fuel Program” – ORLEN Paliwa sp. Z o.o.
  • “Low-emission fuels in transport (LNG in the Automotive sector / Autogaz in Poland – the future or history / OEM cars with LPG / CNG drive)” – a panel organized by the Polish LPG Organization.
  • “Fiscalization of the car wash industry” – Televend Paweł Ożga.

As every year, the Competition Commission, composed mainly of experts from the oil sector and representatives of the state administration, adjudicated the PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2022 Competition. Companies awarded for their products and services could receive statuettes and awards during the traditional Trade Fair Banquet, organized on May 12 at the WESTIN Hotel in Warsaw.

 

Traditionally, at the PIPP stand, meetings were held with invited experts and members of the Chamber Council, who provided their knowledge and help to colleagues from the industry.

 

We hope that the Fair will result in many favorable contracts, and the exchange of experiences during talks and the knowledge acquired during training and conferences will be properly used.
