Another edition of the International Fair PETROL STATION is behind us – one of the largest events of the fuel sector in Europe, a place where tradition meets innovation to look to the future together. During the three days, hundreds, if not thousands of visitors to the fair had the opportunity to get acquainted with the offer of exhibitors from Poland and abroad. They also had a chance to expand their knowledge and exchange experiences, to talk with experts and specialists, to learn about the latest trends and technologies, including those related to gas thanks to the first ever GasTechExpo – a zone for the gas industry. This was exactly what took place on May 17-19, 2023, during the 28th edition of this “celebration of the industry” organized by the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels.
At the opening ceremony of the XXVIII International Fair PETROL STATION, President of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels Halina Pupacz was accompanied by Minister Andrzej Dera, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Minister Piotr Pyzik, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of State Assets, Minister Joanna Smolińska, Acting Deputy General Inspector of Road Transport, Michał Róg, Member of the Management Board of PKN Orlen, Professor Konrad Raczkowski, Vice-rector for Financial Affairs, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Director of the Center for the World Economy, and Leszek Wiwała, President-Director General of the Polish Organization of Oil Industry and Trade. The ceremony was also attended by the Board and Council of PIPP, as well as exhibitors and invited guests.
The fair was traditionally accompanied by the conference Discussion Forum “Polish Liquid Fuels Market. Selected Issues”. During the debate, which was divided into two panels, experts and specialists raised many issues of importance and relevance to the fuel market. Among other things, they talked about energy security and protection of companies in an uncertain economic situation or changes in the legislative area of the fuel industry, they also discussed issues relating to electromobility and its implementation, as well as hydrogen technology and renewable energy and fuels. During the conference, the most important award of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels was presented – the GOLDEN OCTANE statuettes. The 2023 award winners were:

On the second day of the Fair PETROL STATION, a meeting of Women in LPG Poland was held. Organized by the Women in LPG network operating within the World LPG Association, the meeting was part of activities aimed at activating women in the LPG industry.
A meeting of the PKN Orlen Franchised Stations Section of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels also took place on May 18. During it, members of the section raised a number of important issues concerning cooperation with the concern, as well as had the opportunity to discuss their plans and strategy for the coming years.
On the second day of the fair, during the Gala, awards were presented in the PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2023 Contest. The awards, together with PCLF President Halina Pupacz and the Chairman of the Contest Committee Dr. Krzysztof Biernat, Professor of PIMOT, were presented by Minister Piotr Dziadzio, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Chief National Geologist, Government Plenipotentiary for the State’s Raw Materials Policy. Speeches, conferences and meetings are only part of the fair’s program. Most important are the contacts visitors can make with exhibitors who encourage visitors to visit their stands – those inside and outside – with countless attractions and demonstrations. In doing so, they convinced visitors of the reliability and advancement of their products and services. Visitors also had the opportunity to get advice in the expert zone, where representatives of the Energy Regulatory Authority, the Government Strategic Reserve Agency, the State Labor Inspectorate, among others, were waiting for them. They could also learn more about electromobility in a dedicated zone or auto zone.

The XXIX International Fair PETROL STATION 2024 will be held on May 8-10, 2024 in the EXPO XXI Warsaw hall at ul. Prądzyńskiego 12/14 .
